Version 3.0.7  Screenshots
Quantum is a tool to run SQL queries against a database. It allows a user to bookmark databases and dynamically loads the JDBC driver. (No more classpath nonsense) It also allows you to view the tables, views, and sequences in a tree format. This plugin was converted from a Swing app. New to the plug-in version is wizards to insert, update, and delete table rows. This release has mainly some little changes, including caching of columns, to speed up the operation with Oracle, much slowed in 2.4.3. Also, all features are now available to users of Eclipse 2. A new feature is packed into another file quantum_dbunit_244xxx.zip, because it's big, having the dbunit 2.1 library contained. Basically it allows exporting and importing of tables to the flat XML file format of dbunit. To export, you select the tables and/or views and select Export. To import, select a folder of Tables (only one, different schemas not supported) , and the xml file, and it will import all the exported entities in the xml file. So if you are not interested in this functionality, don't install the file quantum_dbunit file. If you do, be careful when importing, not only due to the possibility of deleting not your testing but your production data, but also due to the fact that dbunit can hang the whole of Eclipse if the xml file has some error, is empty or something like that. So be careful when importing.
